Removal And Installation: Installation
NOTE:
Installation process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.
NOTE:
Using an appropriate lubricant, lightly lubricate the O-ring on the body of brake caliper before installing it.
- Install a NEW
O-ring (1) on the brake caliper housing (2).
- Position the EPB actuator (3) to the brake caliper.
- Install the EPB actuator to brake caliper mounting fasteners and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect the EPB actuator wire harness connector (1).
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove supports and lower vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Using the EPB switch, release the EPB, followed by an EPB apply and then another EPB release. Only in that order, even if the EPB is already in the released state. This will verify the new actuator is working, recognized by the EPB module and there is correlation between the left and right sides.
