Removal And Installation: Installation
NOTE:
Torque all fasteners with the vehicle on the ground at ride height.
- If the comfort link was removed from the trailing arm link, install the comfort link to trailing arm link mounting fasteners (2) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the trailing arm in the vehicle.
- Install the trailing arm to knuckle mounting fasteners (2) Do not tighten at this time.
- Install the electric parking brake wire retainers (1) onto the trailing arm.
- Install the trailing arm to body fasteners (2) Do not tighten at this time.
- Install the brake hose retaining bracket fastener (1) to rear trailing arm and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install shock absorber. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER, SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install toe link. Refer to LINK, TOE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove supports and lower vehicle.
- Position the vehicle on an alignment rack. Raise vehicle as necessary to access mounting fasteners.
- Tighten the trailing arm to knuckle fasteners to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the trailing arm to body fasteners to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Perform four wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
