  1. Remove the lower liftgate trim panel. Refer to PANEL, TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Disconnect the wire harness connector from the liftgate latch (1).
  3. Remove the fasteners (2) and the liftgate latch.
