Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Using a pry tool, gently remove the switch assembly (1) from the door trim panel.
Disconnect the wire harness connector (2).

Using trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, release and remove the trim panel (1).

Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the door handle closeout trim (1).

Remove the door handle fasteners (1).

Using a trim stick or equivalent, release the push pin fasteners (1) from the bottom up.

Lift the panel upwards to release the sunshade from the inner window seal, if equipped, and remove the trim panel (2) from the inner door panel (1).

Separate the interior handle (1) from the trim panel (2).
