Removal And Installation: Installation
- Install a NEW grommet (3) when installing a new pump assembly.
- Align the headlamp washer pump (4) intake nipple with the grommet (3) opening and gently press the pump into the reservoir. Be certain the pump is aligned to and fully seated in the reservoir cavity.
- Connect the engine compartment wiring harness connector to the headlamp washer pump receptacle (1).
- Connect the high pressure headlamp washer hose by firmly pushing hose to the pump outlet nipple (2) until a snap is heard, indicating the hose is fully seated on the pump.
- Install the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front wheel and tire assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Verify vehicle and system operation.
