Removal And Installation: Installation
- Position isolator on crossmember isolator bore aligning isolator can flange with reference marks applied during removal.
1 - Press, Ball Joint C-4212F 2 - Adapters, Ball Joint Press C-4212-6 3 - Receiver, Removal 8836-2 4 - C-Support, Bushing Large 2026300170-C 5 - Installer, Bushing Large 2026200170 NOTE:Prior to using special tools, lubricate Press, Ball Joint (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint) (A) threads to provide ease of use and promote tool longevity.
NOTE:A mixture of soap and water may be used to aid installation of the isolator.
- Assemble tools over isolator crossmember assembly as shown:
- (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint)
- (special tool #C-4212-6, Adapters, Ball Joint Press)
- (special tool #8836, Remover/Installer)
- (special tool #2026300170-C, Support, Bushing Large)
- (special tool #2026200170, Installer, Bushing Large)
- Tighten Press, Ball Joint (special tool #C-4212F, Press, Ball Joint) (A) screw-drive, pressing isolator into crossmember. Install isolator until isolator can flange contacts surface of crossmember.
- Remove tools.
- Install the washer (2) onto the bottom of the rear isolator (1) and seat fully.
- Install the rear crossmember. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
