Removal And Installation: Bank-2-Solenoid-1: Removal

  1. Remove the upper intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the Variable Valve Lift (VVL) solenoid.
  3. Remove the retaining bolt (2) from the VVL solenoid.
  4. Remove the VVL solenoid from the cylinder head cover.
  5. The O-ring seal can be reused if not damaged.
