Removal And Installation - AWD: Removal

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

Remove the two cross-under pipe support bolts (1, 2).

Remove the fasteners (1) from the left catalytic converter flange.
Loosen the band clamp (2) from the right catalytic converter flange then using the (special tool #2049500110, Pliers, Exhaust System PSA) to spread open the exhaust clamp.

Position a jack or suitable stand under the exhaust pipe.
Remove the bolts (1) from the cross-under pipe isolator mounts.
Loosen the clamp (2) from the cross-under pipe and exhaust pipe then using the (special tool #2049500110, Pliers, Exhaust System PSA) to spread open the exhaust clamp.

Remove the cross-under pipe (1) from vehicle and discard the flange gasket.
