Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Position the rear muffler heat shield to the underbody.

  2. Install the rear muffler heat shield fasteners (2) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Reposition the rear underbody belly pan and install the fasteners (1). Refer to BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  4. Install the mid-muffler heat shield and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  5. Position the tub heat shield to the underbody.

  6. Install the tub heat shield fasteners (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  7. Position the front muffler heat shield to the underbody.

  8. Install the front muffler heat shield fasteners (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  9. Install the dash heat shield to the underbody and tighten the fasteners (1) to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  10. Install the underbody belly pans and securely tighten the fasteners (2). Refer to BELLY PAN, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION , BELLY PAN, REAR SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and/or BELLY PAN, SIDE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Install the muffler assembly. Refer to MUFFLER, EXHAUST, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  12. Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
  13. Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
