B-Pillar Sensor: Installation
- Connect the body wire harness connector (3) to the side impact sensor (1) connector receptacle.
- Position the side impact sensor to the inner B-pillar (4). Be certain that the locating and anti-rotation pin on the back of the sensor is engaged in the clearance hole of the B-pillar.
- Install the screw (2) that secures the sensor to the inner B-pillar (4). Tighten the screw to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the trim to the inside of the B-pillar. Refer to PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, LOWER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION or PANEL, B-PILLAR TRIM, UPPER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
