Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

    NOTE:

    Do not attempt to pry the lens around the mirror.

  2. Using a flathead screwdriver (1), pry the lens out in an upward direction on the outer edges of the lens.

  3. Insert the flathead screwdriver (1) to the rectangular bulb housing circled in the image above. Once inserted, use rotational motion to slowly remove the bulb.

INSTALLATION

  1. Push the bulb into the socket until you feel the bulb engage. Full engagement will result in firm placement of the bulb.

  2. First, insert the tabs (1) closest to the mirror. These tabs will fit into an area designed for engagement.

  3. Then while holding the placement of the lens (1) from the first step, push the rest of the lens down until the tabs on the other side fully engage.

  4. Apply pressure to the lens (1). Full engagement will result in firm placement of the lens.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
