Diagnostic Test

DETERMINE ACTIVE OR STORED DTC
NOTE:
Ensure the battery is fully charged.
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display active: B1BA5-00-AIRBAG SQUIB CONFIGURATION MISMATCH?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
CHECK ORC PART NUMBER WITH SCAN TOOL
1. With the scan tool, select ECU View, select ORC, select ECU Details, and read the ORC part number.
  Is the part number correct for the vehicle?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Using the scan tool, select Misc. Functions then Proxi Alignment.
  - Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK VIN WITH SCAN TOOL
1. With the scan tool, read the VIN.
  Is the correct VIN displayed?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 4
  No
  - Using the scan tool, select Misc. Functions then Proxi Alignment.
  - Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
CHECK WIRING AND CONNECTOR
1. Check wiring for shorted short to ground or battery and check the ORC connector corrosion and bent terminal at the rear seat airbag terminals.
  Is any problems found?
  
  Yes
  - Repair or replace wiring or connector in accordance with Service Information.
  - Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the ORC in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to CONTROLLER, OCCUPANT RESTRAINT (ORC), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
