Diagnostic Test

  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    NOTE:

    Verify the connection of the ANC Microphone 1 harness connector.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) Module DTCs and record on the repair order.
    3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Turn the Radio on.
    5. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE BCM 

    Has the BCM been reprogrammed or replaced without being programed?

    Yes 

    • Program the BCM if not programed. With the scan tool, perform the Restore vehicle configuration.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    • Go To  3
  3. CHECK THE ANC MODULE DTCS 

    Is the DTC active?

    Yes 

    • Replace the ANC Module in accordance with the service information.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    • The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the appropriate SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension. If no problems are found, test complete.
    • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
