Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Place the PTU on a suitable, clean and stable work surface.

  3. Remove and DISCARD  the shift actuator fasteners (2).
  4. Separate the shift actuator (1) from the PTU.

  5. Remove and DISCARD  the gasket (2) from the groove in the shift actuator (1).
