Removal And Installation: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the fasteners (2) from the front end module closeout panel (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the horn (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the hood ajar switch.
- Release the horn and hood ajar switch wire harness from the cable retainer (2) and position it out of the way.
- Remove the fastener (1) for the horn bracket (2).
- If the horn unit is being replaced with a new unit, remove the horn and hood ajar switch wire harness retainer (3) from the horn bracket for installation into the new horn unit bracket.
