Theory Of Operation

The Sliding Door Switches on the Left and Right B-Pillars are hardwired to the Body Control Module (BCM), through the Left and Right Sliding Door Pillar Switch MUX circuits. When a B-Pillar Sliding Door Switch is depressed, the switch closes and a ground signal is sent to the BCM. When the BCM receives this ground signal, the BCM provides a CAN Bus message to the Left or Right Rear Door Module, which activates the Sliding Door Motor.
