Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

    NOTE:

    PULLING OUTWARD WILL CAUSE DAMAGE OR BROKEN LOCKS

  2. Remove the Power Distribution Center (PDC) upper cover (1) by pressing inward on and releasing both tabs (2) located on the sides.

  3. Disconnect the B+ from the PDC (1).
  4. Loosen the fasteners (2) that secure upper tray of the PDC and remove. These fasteners are captured and cannot be completely removed.

  5. Disconnect the three bulkhead wire harness connectors (1) from the PDC bottom tray. Each bulkhead connector are clipped into the PDC bottom tray. Depress the tension clips to release the connector.

  6. To remove the lower PDC tray, remove the fasteners (1) securing it to the engine compartment.
  7. Lift and remove the PDC tray from the vehicle.
