Diagnostic Test

PROGRAM THE POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE 

1. Verify the PCM is at the latest calibration (flash level).
   NOTE:

   An intermittent loss of power to the PCM without performing an ETC Relearn procedure may cause this DTC to set.

2. Program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information, and follow the PCM PROGRAMMING procedure. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
3. Start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
5. Operate the accelerator pedal. (do not exceed 3500 RPM).
6. With a scan tool, read DTCs.
   NOTE:

   Diagnose any other DTCs that may have set with the P060D.

   Does this DTC reset by itself?

   Yes 

   • Replace and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL (PCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
   • Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .

   No 

   • Test Complete.
