Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE:

This DTC could set during towing if the Manual Park Release Cable was not fully pulled and the pawl is in an intermediate position for too long.

NOTE:

Diagnose and repair any CAN bus communication faults before continuing.

Start the engine and test drive the vehicle in accordance with the monitoring conditions.
With the scan tool read DTCs.
Is the DTC active or pending?

Yes
- Perform the P0850 DTC diagnostic procedure in the Transmission Control Module.
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
