Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
- Record the Environmental Data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read HVAC Module DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- LOW VOLTAGE MESSAGE RECEIVED FROM CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) BUS NOTE:
This DTC indicates that a message was received over the CAN bus indicating the vehicle system voltage is too low.
- Refer to the recorded DTCs.
Are any battery or charging system related DTCs set in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM)?
Yes
- Perform PCM DTC diagnostic procedure(s). Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
No
- Perform the BATTERY SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and CHARGING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING procedures. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - BATTERY SYSTEM .
- Refer to the recorded DTCs.
