Theory Of Operation

The purpose of the diagnostic is to ensure that the output of the TCM shift by wire software corresponds to the input of the Transmission Control Module (TCM) shift by wire software. The input to the TCM shift by wire software is the driver request, vehicle and transmission conditions.
