When Monitored

This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

• Gear Selector position is in Drive.
• Transmission Fluid temperature is above a calibrated value.
• No clutch slip control functions commanded.
• No Input Speed Sensor DTCs set.
• Input speed is above a calibrated value.
• Valid output speed signal from the Output Speed Sensor or calculated from the wheel speed signal if Output Speed Sensor is not available.
• Valid engine speed signal from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
• During Gearshifts:
  • The output speed and the output speed gradient must be higher than a calibrated value.
