With Trailer Tow: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the lower fasteners off the bottom of the rear fascia.

  3. Disconnect the body wiring harness connector (1) from the Hands Free Entry Power Liftgate (HFEPLG) module

  4. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the HFEPLG module with sensor assembly to the vehicle.

  5. Loosen the wiring harness from any tie down straps (1) between the two sensors with modules.

  6. Slide the wiring harness (2) over the trailer tow hitch (1).
  7. Remove the HFEPLG module with sensor from the vehicle.
