Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read Auto Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
3. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
4. With the scan tool, read AHLM DTCs.
  Did the DTC return?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK THE RIGHT HEADLAMP LEVELING MOTOR
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Front Headlamp Assembly harness connector.
3. Inspect the Right Front Headlamp Assembly and Right Headlamp Leveling Motor for any debris or foreign material that could cause a binding condition.
  Were any problems found?
  
  Yes
  - Repair as necessary.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the Right Headlamp Leveling Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
