Third Row Seating Impact Sensor: Installation

  1. Position the side impact sensor (3) to the quarter inner panel (1) above the rear wheel housing.
  2. Align and insert the anti-rotation pin on the base of the sensor into the clearance hole in the quarter inner panel.
  3. Install the screw (2) that secures the side impact sensor (3) to the quarter inner panel (1). Tighten the screw to the proper. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Connect the body wire harness connector (4) to the side impact sensor (3).
  5. Install the quarter trim panel to the quarter inner panel. Refer to PANEL, QUARTER TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Do not connect the negative battery cable at this time. The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Verification Test procedure should be performed following service of any SRS component. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
