The evaporator temperature sensor is operated via two circuits:

• 5-volt supply
• Sense (ground)

If the HVAC module senses that the evaporator temperature is about to freeze, it will temporarily disable A/C operation by sending an A/C OFF request message over the CAN-C bus. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM), after receiving the A/C OFF request, will disengage the A/C compressor clutch.
