Removal And Installation: Removal

WARNING:

Always make sure the A/C-heater system is turned off and that the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to servicing the cabin air filter. Never place fingers or other objects into the filter opening of the HVAC housing. Failure to follow this warning may result in serious injury.

NOTE:

Instrument panel removed for clarity.

  1. Remove the glove box. Refer to GLOVE BOX, INSTRUMENT PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Remove the three hush panel fasteners (2) and remove the hush panel (1).

  3. Disengage the two retaining tabs (1) that secure the cabin air filter cover (2) to the passenger side of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) air distribution housing and remove the cover.

  4. Remove the cabin air filter (1) from the air distribution housing (2) by pulling the filter element straight out from the housing.
