Removal And Installation: Bank-1-Solenoid-1: Removal

  1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  3. Disconnect the fuel vapor line (1).

  4. Position the fuel vapor tube assembly aside.

  5. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the Variable Valve Lift (VVL) solenoid.
  6. Remove the retaining bolt (2) from the VVL solenoid.
  7. Remove the VVL solenoid from the cylinder head cover.
  8. The O-ring seal can be reused if not damaged.
