Removal And Installation: Removal
- Remove the crankshaft vibration damper. Refer to DAMPER, VIBRATION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the sleeve (2) from Seal Remover (special tool #8511, Remover, Seal) around the flywheel key (1) and onto the nose of the crankshaft.
- Install the Screw Seal Remover (special tool #8511, Remover, Seal) (1) into the front crankshaft oil seal (2).
- Install the extractor screw (2) into the Seal Remover (special tool #8511, Remover, Seal) (1). Hold the seal remover stationary and tighten the extractor screw against the sleeve until the front crankshaft oil seal (3) is removed from the engine timing cover.
