The universal HomeLink® transmitter operates on a fused Body Control Module (BCM) feed via a High Side Driver (HSD) so that the unit will remain functional regardless of the ignition position. The transceiver has a security ground and the BCM will disable this system any time the vehicle security alarm is armed.
