Removal And Installation: AWD: Removal

  1. Remove the hub and bearing assembly. Refer to HUB AND BEARING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Disconnect the stabilizer link from the knuckle. Refer to LINK, STABILIZER BAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Remove the four splash shield to knuckle fasteners (1).
  4. Place a suitable support under the spring link.
  5. Disconnect the toe link from the knuckle. Refer to LINK, TOE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Disconnect the shock absorber from the knuckle. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER, SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  7. Remove the three trailing arm to knuckle fasteners (3).

  8. Remove camber link to knuckle fastener (3).

  9. Carefully lower the jack and remove the spring (1), jounce bumper (4), and upper isolator (3), and lower isolator (2) together as an assembly.

  10. Remove the spring link to knuckle fastener (4).
  11. Remove the knuckle.
