Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove toe link. Refer to LINK, TOE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove shock absorber. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER, SUSPENSION, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  5. Position jack underneath knuckle (2) near the shock fastener to support suspension.

  6. Remove the brake hose retaining bracket fastener (1) to the rear trailing arm.

  7. Carefully remove the electric parking brake wire from the trailing arm retainers (1).
  8. Remove the comfort link to body fasteners (2).

  9. Remove the trailing arm to knuckle mounting fasteners (2).
  10. Remove the trailing arm.

  11. If necessary remove the comfort link to trailing arm link mounting fasteners (2) and remove the comfort link from the trailing arm link.
