Removal And Installation: Removal
- Use a plastic putty knife or equivalent, along the edges of the applique (1) to cut the two sided tape (3).
- Use a trim tool (special tool #C-4829A, Remover, Trim) or equivalent, to release the spring retainers.
- Remove the applique.
- Remove adhesive tape residue from painted surface of vehicle (2). Use a 3M Scotch-Brite™ Molding Adhesive and Stripe Removal Discs, or equivalent, to clean adhesive residue from painted surfaces. The adhesive removal discs are available from automotive paint suppliers. Refer to instructions supplied with the discs for proper usage.
