Removal And Installation: Installation

  1. Route the wiring harness (3) into the door opening (2).
  2. Position the outside rearview mirror (1) onto the vehicle.

  3. Install the one upper outside rearview mirror nut (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
  4. Raise the door glass to fully up position.
  5. Install the two lower outside rearview mirror nuts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
    NOTE:

    To prevent contact with the door glass, be certain to route the wiring harness forward of the front window channel.

  6. Secure the wiring harness routing clips.

    NOTE:

    The rubber grommet must face rearward on the door to prevent interference with the door trim panel installation.

  7. Insert the rubber grommet (3) through the carrier plate and seat fully.
  8. Close the access cover (2).
  9. Connect the wire harness connectors (1).
  10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
