Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE:

The seat can be service while in vehicle.

  1. Remove the 2nd row center seat, if equipped.
  2. Using a hook tool, remove the clip from behind the recline handle (2) then pull outward to remove the handle.
  3. Remove the two screws (1).
  4. Using a trim stick, release the front of the outboard side shield (3) then lift and remove.

  5. Remove the screw (2) at the backside of the inboard side shield (1).
  6. Using a trim stick, release the front of the inboard side shield then lift and remove.

  7. Release the J-hook and open the lower cover panel (1).
  8. Release the J-hooks (2) from the rear and sides of the seat cushion.
  9. Release the trim J-hook at the front of the seat cushion, and remove the push fasteners at the front of the seat cushion.
  10. Disconnect the wire harness connector for the seat heater, if equipped.
  11. Remove the seat cover (3) and the seat foam as an assembly, from the seat frame.

    NOTE:

    Be careful not to damage the clips molded into the seat cushion. If the clips or cushion are damaged during removal, replace the cushion.

  12. Pull the seat cover (1) away from the seat foam (2), releasing the hook and loop fasteners (4) first.
  13. Using a hook tool, start at one end to release the clip strips (3) and the seat cover.
