Removal And Installation: Removal
- Before proceeding with the following repair procedure, review all warnings and cautions. Refer to STATIONARY GLASS, WARNING .
- Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to MIRROR, REARVIEW, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- If equipped, remove the humidity sensor controls. Refer to SENSOR, HUMIDITY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- If equipped, remove the Forward Facing Camera (FFC). Refer to MODULE, FORWARD FACING CAMERA (FFCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the cowl grille. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .CAUTION:
Be careful not to damage painted surfaces when removing moldings or cutting urethane around the windshield.
- Remove the windshield side moldings.
- Using an assistant and a windshield cut-out tool (2), cut and separate the urethane adhesive securing the windshield (1) to the windshield fence.
- Carefully remove the windshield (1) from the vehicle.
