Removal And Installation: Installation

NOTE:

Replace any damaged or missing push pin fasteners as necessary.

  1. Install the interior handle assembly (1) onto the trim panel (2) and seat fully.

  2. Position top of the trim with the sunshade, if equipped, back onto the top of the door and position the trim panel (2) back into place onto the inner door panel (1).

  3. Seat the 11 push pin fasteners (1) fully.

  4. Install the door handle bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

  5. Install the door handle closeout trim (1) and seat fully.

  6. Install the trim piece (1) onto the mounting fixtures (2) and seat fully.

  7. Connect the wire harness connector (2) and install the switch (1).
  8. Seat the switch assembly (1) into the trim panel fully
  9. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
