Both the Base and the Premium Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) include analog gauges as well as a digital odometer/trip odometer display, which appears within the electronic display unit. Textual messages and digital displays, some accompanied by virtual icons, may appear in the electronic display unit to supplement analog gauges in either IPC.
Analog gauge illumination is provided by dimmer controlled Light Emitting Diode (LED) units soldered onto the IPC electronic circuit board. The analog gauge needles have internal optical illumination. Electronic display unit lighting is also dimmer controlled unless the Parade mode has been selected with the thumbwheel of the dimmer module, or unless certain indicators are active within the display. Whether analog, digital or virtual the gauges are all serviced only as a unit with the IPC.
