Removal And Installation: Removal
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Apply masking tape to outside surface of quarter panel below the center roller channel, rearward of the door opening.
- Release sliding door latch and open door.
- Apply masking tape to door jamb area, rearward of the upper roller channel.
- Using a trim stick, lift the front of the scuff plate extension (1) then pull forward to release the tabs (2) and remove.
- Remove the bolts (1) and separate the hold open latch striker (3) from the mounting plate (2).
- Disconnect and separate the wire harness connector (1).
- Locate the wire harness support clip (1).
- Using a small flat bladed tool or equivalent, release the clip (1) from the bottom pushing upward and separate the support (2) from the bracket.
- Remove the bolt (1) and separate the drive plate (2) from the hinge assembly (3), if equipped.
- Support sliding door on a suitable lifting device with a padded upper surface. The door must be moveable with lifting device in place.
- Remove the nuts (2) and separate the center door hinge arm (1) from the rollers.
- Remove upper stop bumper (2) from upper roller hinge channel (1).
- Slide door rearward until the upper sliding door hinge roller disengages from the upper channel.
- Continue moving the door rearward until the lower rollers exit the lower track.
- Remove sliding door from vehicle.
