Removal And Installation: Removal

  1. Position the door glass in the up position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Disconnect the wire harness connectors (1).
  4. Open the access cover (2).
  5. Unseat the rubber grommet (3) and insert through the carrier plate.

  6. Disconnect the wiring harness routing clips.
  7. Remove the two lower outside rearview mirror nuts (1).
  8. Position the door glass in the fully lowered position.
  9. Remove the one upper outside rearview mirror nut (1).

  10. Remove the outside rearview mirror (1).
  11. Route the wiring harness (3) through the door opening (2).
  12. Remove white plastic assembly aid from the top forward hole in the door opening.
