Diagnostic Test
- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on repair order.
- With the scan tool, erase Radio DTCs.
- Turn the radio on.
- With the scan tool, reset the Radio.
- With the scan tool, read Radio DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK THE CABIN EQUALIZATION CURVE NUMBER
- With the scan tool in the BCM ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the Cabin Equalization Curve number.
- With the scan tool in the Radio ECU Details Tab, Configuration button, record the True value.NOTE:
The Cabin EQ Curve value found in the BCM should match the True value found in the Radio.
Do the Cabin EQ settings match one another?
Yes
- Replace the Radio in accordance to the service information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- VERIFY COMMUNICATION WITH BCM
- With the scan tool, read the active modules on the BUS.
Does the scan tool show the BCM active on the BUS?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the No Response From Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic procedure.
- With the scan tool, read the active modules on the BUS.
- CHECK THE BCM FOR ACTIVE DTCs
- With the scan tool, erase BCM DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off. Wait approximately 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs and record on the repair order.
Are any active DTCs present?
Yes
- Repair BCM DTCs. and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
No
- Replace the Body Control Module (BCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, BODY CONTROL (BCM), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
