Without Trailer Tow: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear fascia. Refer to FASCIA, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Disconnect the body wiring harness connector (1) from the Hands Free Entry Power Liftgate (HFEPLG) module (2).

  4. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the HFEPLG module with sensor assembly (2) to the vehicle.
  5. Remove the HFEPLG module with sensor (2) from the vehicle.
