10.1 Inch Screen

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. With a suitable tool, remove the radio display trim bezel (1) and disconnect the wire harness connectors.

  3. Remove the Display Screen Module (DSM) mounting bracket fasteners (1).
  4. Remove the fastener (2) from the lower side of the DSM.
  5. Release the tabs (3) around the perimeter of the DSM (4). Remove the DSM and bracket from the display bezel (5).

  6. If necessary, remove the fasteners (1) and separate the DSM (3) from the DSM bracket (2).

INSTALLATION

  1. If separated, install the DSM (3) to the DSM bracket (2). Install the fasteners (1) and tighten securely.

  2. Install the DSM and bracket into the display bezel (5). Verify the clips (3) are fully engaged.
  3. Install and securely tighten the fasteners (1).
  4. Install the fastener (2) and tighten securely.
  5. Position the display bezel to the instrument panel and connect the wire harness connectors.

  6. Carefully install the radio display trim bezel (1). Verify the retaining clips are fully engaged into the instrument panel.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
    NOTE:

    Uconnect® + SiriusXM Guardian Applications will be automatically updated in the replacement radio through the radio's embedded cellular phone based on the customers present subscription status. This update process may take up to an hour, depending upon the number of apps and adequate cellular services accessibility. The dealer is not expected to perform this process or to oversee it, but may need to explain to the vehicle owner or operator that some features and applications may not be fully restored and overall system response may be slowed until the process has completed.
