The combination antenna uses the properties of electromagnetic radiation to capture and deliver each individual frequency's data to the radio. The LTE circuit in the antenna is capable of transmitting LTE data to nearby cellular towers.

The combination antenna must have wide open space in which to operate. Items carried on the roof, parking inside an enclosed structure or driving through a long tunnel can have an effect on the ability of the antenna to properly receive signals.
