Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, create a Vehicle Scan Report and attach it to the repair order.
3. Operate the Right Rear Window switch up and down several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DMRR DTCs.
  Is the DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
CHECK THE (Q316) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage between ground and the (Q316) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Supply circuit at the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
  Is there any voltage present?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (Q316) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Supply circuit for a short to voltage.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 3
CHECK THE (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
3. Disconnect the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector.
4. Check for continuity between ground and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit at the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
  Is there continuity between ground and the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the in the Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Signal circuit for a short to ground
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 4
CHECK THE (Q316) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (Q316) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Supply circuit between the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector and the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
  Is the resistance above 2.0 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (Q316) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Supply circuit for an open.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 5
CHECK THE (Q992) RIGHT REAR WINDOW SENSOR RETURN CIRCUIT FOR A OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (Q992) Right Rear Window Sensor Return circuit between the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector and the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
  Is the resistance above 2.0 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (Q992) Right Rear Window Sensor Return circuit for an open.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 6
CHECK THE (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit between the Right Rear Door Module C2 harness connector and the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
  Is the resistance above 2.0 Ohms?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit for an open.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Go To 7
CHECK THE (Q308) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR A SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (Q992) RIGHT REAR WINDOW HALL SENSOR RETURN CIRCUIT
1. Check for continuity between the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit and the (Q992) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Return circuit at the Right Rear Window Motor harness connector.
  Is there continuity between the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit and the (Q992) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Return circuit?
  
  Yes
  - Repair the (Q308) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor A Signal circuit for a short to the (Q992) Right Rear Window Hall Sensor Return circuit.
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Replace the Right Rear Window Motor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MOTOR, WINDOW REGULATOR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  - Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  - Test complete.
