Safety Belt Anchor and Pretensioner 

The safety belt retractor and pretensioner belt end attaches to the safety belt anchor and pretensioner.

The pretensioner is a pyrotechnic device that deploys when activated by the Restraints Control Module to remove excess safety belt webbing from the shoulder and lap safety belt in the event of an impact. If a deployment of the safety belt anchor and pretensioner occurs, a new assembly must be installed. Refer to Safety Belt Retractor and Pretensioner .

Safety Belt Buckle 

The front row safety belt buckles are used in conjunction with the safety belt retractors.

The safety belt buckles also contain switches (driver and passenger) and BTS (passenger only) which are used as sensing devices for the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS).

Safety Belt Height Adjuster 

Safety belt height adjusters are used on both first row seats. They allow the seat occupant to change the height of the safety belt D-ring, which helps to increase comfort for the seat occupant. The height adjuster also makes it possible to match the safety belt geometry to the size of the seat occupant, which increases the effectiveness of the safety belt.

Safety Belt Retractor Adaptive Load Limiter 

The adaptive load limiting safety belt retractor is a pyrotechnic device integrated with the safety belt retractor assembly that controls the tension of the front passenger safety belt when deployed.
