For vehicles With Intelligent Access, REFER to DOOR HANDLES, DOOR LOCKS, DOOR LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS - WITH INTELLIGENT ACCESS (IA) .
The power liftgate Intelligent Access (IA) feature is inoperative (if equipped) Wiring, terminals or connectors

The power liftgate stops during power open operation The vehicle was started or taken out of park during a power open operation
Mechanical binding
INITIALIZE the power liftgate. Refer to Power Liftgate Initialization . If the condition still exists, manually CLOSE the liftgate to the primary latch position. OPEN the liftgate, using the exterior handle or liftgate control switch with the vehicle in park and the ignition in the ON position. If mechanical binding does exist, REPAIR as necessary.
The power liftgate stops and chimes at the full open position The power liftgate lost its full open position due to a mechanical repair (hinge adjustment, liftgate striker adjustment, motor or power liftgate rod assembly adjusted or repaired) INITIALIZE the power liftgate. Refer to Power Liftgate Initialization .

CHECK the liftgate alignment. Refer to Liftgate Alignment .
TURN the power liftgate OFF (disable) from the message center and manually operate the liftgate. If mechanical binding does exist, REPAIR as necessary.
