Oil Pan: Removal

- 1.
With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to Jacking and Lifting .
- 3.
Remove the engine ACL and ACL outlet pipe assembly. REFER to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
- 4.
Loosen the 5 upper bellhousing-to-engine bolts 5 mm (0.197 in).
NOTE:
To prevent damage to the transmission, do not loosen the transmission-to-engine bolts more than 5 mm (0.197 in).
- 5.
Remove the engine roll restrictor. REFER to Automatic Transmission 6F35 .
- 6.
Remove the catalytic converter. REFER to Exhaust System .
- 7.
Remove the A/C drive belt. REFER to Accessory Drive .
- 8.
Disconnect the 2 A/C compressor electrical connectors.- Detach the wiring harness retainer from the A/C tube stud bolt.
- 9.
Remove the A/C compressor nut, stud and the 2 bolts.- Position the A/C compressor aside and support with a length of mechanics wire.
- 14.
Remove the drain plug and drain the engine oil.- Install the drain plug and tighten to 27 Nm (20 lb-ft).
