Seat Backrest - Power: Disassembly

NOTE: For component identification and locations, Refer to Seat - Exploded View .

1.

Remove the affected seat backrest. For additional information, Refer to Seat Backrest - Power .

2.

Remove the backrest cover. Refer to Seat Backrest Cover - Power .

3.

Remove the backrest foam pad.

4.

Remove the head restraint in the following sequence.
- Detach the head restraint release cable and conduit from the backrest frame.
- Remove the 2 head restraint bolts.
  - To install, tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
- Remove the 2 head restraint nuts.
  - To install, tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
- Remove the head restraint and route the cable out of the backrest frame.
