PINPOINT TEST K : An Individual Button/Feature Is Inoperative From The RKE Transmitter
- K1 VERIFY THE DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- Press the lock and unlock button on the driver door lock control switch while observing the door lock operation.
Do the door locks operate correctly?
Yes GO to K2. No CHECK the symptoms. REFER to Symptom Chart: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems - Electrical . - K2 VERIFY THE HAZARD LAMP OPERATION
- Place the hazard switch in the ON position.
Do the hazard lamps operate correctly?
Yes GO to K3. No REFER to Exterior Lighting . - K3 VERIFY THE LIFTGATE OPERATION
- Press the interior power liftgate switch.
Does the power liftgate open?
Yes GO to K4. No REFER to Body Closures . - K4 VERIFY THE HORN OPERATION
- Using the scan tool, view the BCM PIDs.
- Select the BCM PID HORN and active command the horn on and then off.
Does the horn sound when commanded on?
Yes GO to K5. No REFER to Horn . - K5 VERIFY THE REMOTE START BUTTON
- Using the scan tool, view the RFA module PIDs.
- Select the RFA module PID Lst_Xm_B_Prs while pressing the remote start button on an Intelligent Access (IA) key.
Does the PID indicate the remote start button is being pressed?
Yes REFER to Starting System . No REPLACE and PROGRAM the inoperative Intelligent Access (IA) key. REFER to Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) - With Intelligent Access (IA) .
